And like I promised; to reveal Splash's Old Backstory Idea to embarrass myself!! 😳

(This is similar to Ink's backstory, and I still wished I never thought of this idea...It was stupid...)

Splash's Old Backstory:

"Years ago, before many Sanses were created, he was one of the newer ones. An AU, including Splash, was an idea that a creator had created, but never finished and abandoned it unfinished. Splash was really the only creation there, nothing more, in the empty white void. He had his soul, his personality, clothes, but he had no home, no people by his side, everything was just the white void. Splash would sit there, thinking of what to do as he did nothing.

Though one day, as he wandered though the empty white void, a pencil laid there and a note. Apparently, the creator had finally responded after years, other creators already made and finished, while he was still unfinished. The pencil contained abilities that he wasn't sure were inside, and picked up the note. The note shared that the creator had given this pencil as a small gift to give the character more light and let the character experience more than just the white void.

After Splash read the note, Splash was still mad at the creator for abandoning him, but at least he was given a gift, something he can do. After receiving the pencil, he'll realize how powerful it is as it contains many abilities inside one object, and he would use this power to explore different universes and become a secret protector of the Multiverse, hiding from everyone to make sure they didn't find out about his abilities..."

-> That is the old backstory idea that I had made a long time ago, but now it is not the backstory anymore due to how some keys of the Backstory relate a lot to Ink Sans in ways.

This scene was an old suggestion from Bane, when how the plot went is Riot, after being defeated, was convinced to stay with the main group of Ruby and her friends, then later met Isabell, an Agent of Chaos, and started hitting it off with her. Still a good one in my opinion, but just won't happen this way anymore.

2. This was a scene during the latter half of CoV, where the cast is shown each other's worst memories.

3. This is a scene where after being influenced by Riot a lot, thus snappy and a bit mean to her friends, Sam apologizes for it all to Ruby and Sapphire. Unfortunately, Sapphire senses that something is wrong still (thus the zoom in on her frowning at them, as normally Saph would've been the first to hug Sam and say it's alright). And she's right: in this scene, it's moreso Riot acting as Sam, rather than Sam being in full control of herself.

4. Ruby showing care for Ryan because the bastard didn't sleep- gah I love them

6. Ruby being fed up with Sapphire's shipping antics, then even more so when she gushes about Ryan being Ruby's first friend (which is still true in today's version of CoV). Sisterly bonding <3

8. A more full scene; it's CLASSIFIED (an organization made to keep magical threats from harming the mortal world) investigating one of Riot's major crimes at this point, one of which was burning down an important company building.

Also Valerie having 'he/him' pronouns and 'dealing with paperwork for his company that owned the building' is due to me simply replacing the name of the old character who used to be there, who was cut because frankly his creator was a fucking piece of shit. But I only replaced the name to Valerie's, but none of the plot details lol. It's kinda funny whenever I stumbled across it though 😭

Also really funny that Ruby just keeps conjuring things, with the context of her powers now. Here she just...makes cop uniforms. Perfectly sized for the three of them. Perfectly colored. But now she cannot do that 😭😭nowadays shadow constructs still look like black shadows lmaoo

Sam being sorta snappy to them still bc Riot's personality influencing her >>>>> "Don't ever let those three on any investigation site again." GAH

Also love Riot having stolen exactly $49,256.32. 49K, two-hundred-fixty-six dollars and thirty two cents exactly.

There's still two others scenes I think that I really like, though I think for one of them (the longer one) I'll try to rewrite it as if it were a scene in current-day CoV, because it honestly might be just because imo it's still really good in terms of choreography, dialogue, just plot progression etc lol. The other scene I might just put in a reblog of this one, maaybe. It's a fight scene and I'm proud of it's choreo (and a silly twist scene a bit after it >:3)

Backstory, I’ve always been a fanfic writer, even before 13 but Joris was my OBSESSION during my first teen years. I am not even exaggerating when I put ‘obsession’ in all caps because it was literally that important to me. I was also not very knowledgeable about the whole fandom side of things like AUs, pairings, tags, AO3, headcanons, etc.

All I knew was that I liked these kids as a ship and therefore wrote stories about them. Over 50 stories at least, most of them still unfinished, scribbled in terrible handwriting on notebook paper, and rotting in a box in my garage. And if 13yo me knew who I was now and the places I was going, she would place it upon me to share her works and kill me if I didn't because as I said, Joris was and apparently still is a very important part of my, for lack of a better word, culture.

Anyways, talked too long, here's my biggest AU(and probably the most interconnected AU to any other AUs I might have). Read carefully because it gets confusing and really weird:

The Maple Biscuit Rendezvous’ AU 🍁🍪:

-Took place in multiple timelines and fantastical worlds

-Made use of my anthropomorphic stuffed animals(a fox named Maple and a dog named Biscuit) as alive creatures who could talk and guide Chris and Joy on various adventures that were dangerous, exciting, and overall had the intent of bringing them closer together and ultimately make them realize they were in love *sparkle sparkle*

-Finale tale was heavily inspired by a podcast Snap Judgment: Spooked ep, Teacher's Pet, that featured a woman with a half burned face

-Spanned a timeline from when the kids were 14-15 all the way until they were 18-19

-Stories included but were definitely not limited to wizards, giant clocks, philosophical ideas like saving time, Maple being a nosy fox, Gizmo being oblivious about everything and always accidentally having beef with said fox, oversized forests, dragon creatures called Whiplings, towns inspired by Beatrice Potter illustrations, strange weather, lots and lots of talking animals and creatures who otherwise wouldn't be talking, a Thomas the Train feature weirdly enough, slow burn but in a way that makes you satisfied, giant glowing mushrooms, owls, lava, some actually really romantic lines, oh and Rudolph also made an appearance, a pretty great confession scene, yeah and also the Warrior Cats got involved somehow too, and there's so much more but that's all I can remember because again, all my notebooks are taped in a box in my garage and I’m too lazy to go get them

Honestly, I’m not embarrassed to be talking about this giant word vomit mess of an AU(if it can even be called that) anymore because frankly, I think 13yo me was a little genius despite being so unbelievably dumb and maybe she was onto something. I don’t know but I am still proud of all the work and dedication I put into something so matter-of-fact to anyone else who glances at it or even tries to look at it straight.

That was probably the only AU with enough factual information to be made into an AU. I also wrote side stories to play into the main story and separate stories about the kids getting separated for high school and having to deal with that and growing feelings blah blah blah typical Disney rom com material.

I also wrote stories based off of the nightmares I had(basically i put the kids into these terrible situations to make myself feel better and treated it as a chance for them to trust each other and fall in love or some other shit) Messed up, I know, but hey, I was trying to cope because God, those really were some terrible nightmares.

But that AU aside because I don't even know what i would do with it nowadays because I'm actually more knowledgeable now, I have another less fleshed out AU that I really want to start working on:

-basically the kids are in high school, they don't hang out as much because they're new seniors and super busy with soccer scholarships(Chris) and the student lead team(Joy), but they're still really close. They're also both somehow failing history class.

The Historic Superbook AU(for lack of a better name) 🏰⏳️

-Superbook arrives after years of radio silence and takes them to different historical events to help them with their homework and also give them a nudge to acknowledging their feelings for each other

-a list of possible adventures includes The American Revolution, WWII, The First Thanksgiving, The Titanic, maybe a future event even, and as a finale, Pompeii

-also each adventure gets more and more dangerous as they go through senior year and get to graduation

-there's also a level of tension that grows with each adventure because they're both slowly realizing they like each other but they don't know how to feel about it or confront it so they kind of stop communicating and hanging out and it's their families who bring them together for the final adventure(maybe for like a pretty graduation dinner with both families or something) because they just aren't talking anymore and honestly it's killing them inside because they graduate in a few days. They also have their final history projects due so Superbook takes them on one final adventure aka Pompeii

-I had the idea that Superbook meant to take them someplace less dangerous, maybe a few different locations they'd already visited for some review but the time travel malfunctions and scatters them all over Pompeii and they're trying to find each other and Gizmo obviously before the unimaginable happens

Yeah it's not fully figured out but that's my other AU that i'm actually really proud of because I don't think it's too farfetched

Anyways, this has gone on toooooo long so hopefully this was entertaining to read and maybe got some inspiration, idk
