Random Oktigi headcanon...

I sometimes think about this random text, the Executive Post-lunch Nap Hour, it's so dumb, but it also makes me think about Oktigis rather than Glukkons, as a policy habit that they implemented because they'd have a more biological relevant reason to need this and then it trickled down to Glukkons because it's convenient.

I love parasitic creatures, especially hematophagous ones, and one funky thing most of the blood feeders tend to do is eat A LOT, I mean often they drink blood until they can't anymore and in rare cases they actually die from it, they tend to be very overindulgent and greedy while feeding, which leads to another cute thing they do which is they tend to need to just lay there or sleep so they can digest all that. Pet leeches are a great example of that, they get really huge if you let them overfeed and sometimes they even regurgitate from it because they don't know when to stop, and then they simply remain lethargic for days on end until they have digested most of the blood. We experience that too, we get sleepy if we eat too much because a lot of energy goes into digestion, it's just a thing, but parasites and predators like these tend to have huge meals they need to divert a lot of energy into.
