SEMI SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HAVENT SEEN IT-It’s really a ‘I FACKING LOVE THIS’ rant (if you think these are true spoilers though lemme know)

I’m not necessarily good at putting things into words, but gosh dang this movie is awesome!

• It includes nature and the balance that exists with it, and displaying it well. Moro and Okkoto are also a good display of it.

• ghibli does great love story’s that have a sense of realism but also healthiness to it. Not all love stories end in a kiss, hell lots of couples don’t kiss at all! Everyone has different ways on how they formed their love and the couple in question can always choose together how to display it.

It’s also a special kind of connection between you and that person, so while the two main characters here could be together in a typical fashion, maybe even be a sign of a bridge between the forest and humans, but they don’t need to, they can just exist together. (I’ve only watched this movie though so don’t quote me on that- NOR HAVE I been in a relationship so don’t go shooting my messages because I don’t know shite 💀)

• Lady Eboshi is also a good antagonist, in my eyes she is a capable and caring leader, but also has this vibe where in result is perceived as a leader who looks after her home and her home only, ignoring and seeing the forest as an obstacle to keep Iron Town safe. I think she’s a good leader still, just made the iffy choices during the movie when there could’ve been better ones.

and I’ll admit I also like it a lot because I can stick one of my au links in it almost perfectly if I felt like getting creative one day- like LOZ links TuT

that’s all I’ve gotta say really, I understand things through feeling mostly so sometimes I don’t find the right words for it, but in short-

Ashitaka wonders if, had he been around during modern times, would he have gotten a metallic arm? (not connected to the other au sketches btw.)

During the era of Beasts, A lone Ceratosaur-like theropod sees the Nightwalker. In a few thousand years, the theropod’s descendants would evolve into beasts comparable to gods in their power.

“Eboshi’s last stand against a god that she made. Born from corrupted flesh of god, man, monster and beast all into one being of destruction.”

After using the decaying boar’s bones into his own body, Amhuluk was corrupted by the lingering energy that came from the corpse. Now motivated by nothing more than absolute malice, Amhuluk began to destroy any living thing in his path with the beast eventually reaching where Ashitaka and San were wandering to.

“The elderly monster and god beast have a talk before the invasion on the humans.”

“When San was a young girl, She and her mother saw a great beast, as large as the whales that swam the seas or the megasauropods of the earth. Usually these Ice Dragons lived much farther up north. Though the one she saw was much different.”
