OJ Simpson died of Prostate Cancer on Wednesday, 10 April 2024.
OJ Simpson was a sports star, narcissist, and a murderer. OJ had a history of abusing his wife Nicole Brown and was known to have been possessive - even after they broke up.
In June 1994, Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman were stabbed to death outside Nicole’s condo in LA, OJ Simpson was the prime suspect. The case became well known for the low-speed pursuit of OJ who was inside a SUV which interrupted the coverage of the 1994 NBA Finals.
The crime was highly publicized and America turned it into a race issue rather than focusing on the crime itself. OJ was found not guilty and got away with murder.
Goldman’s family filed a civil lawsuit against OJ and he was ordered to pay money in damages.
OJ released a book called ‘If I Did It’ (2007) the word ‘If’ was reduced in size to make it appear as ‘I Did It: Confessions of the Killer’.
In 2007, a group of men led by OJ entered a room at a casino and took sports memorabilia at gunpoint. OJ and his associates were charged with felony, kidnapping, assault, robbery, and using a deadly weapon. OJ was imprisoned and was sentenced to 33 years behind bars.
