Peyton wanted to get candy, and usually, she would just ask her dad to get some more, but this wasn’t any candy, it came from the Asian market that looked sketchy but wasn’t. She walked into Ethan’s room, which smelled gross first of all, but he also looked gross. “Hey, Eth-“ She saw him slumped, “Nevermind.” 

Though Ethan and Mason didn’t play the same sports at all, their athleticism still put them on the same scope of life, or at least in the same gym class. “Hey Ethan! Do you know if we’re picking teams today in gym? Because I want to skip, but the last time I did I was on the real crap team with the kids that don’t know how to throw.”

“So no offense, but you know how you smelled really bad when you and Gianna broke up the like first and a half time?” Peyton asked, dinner was just them two, their Dad was off, sent to Trader Joe’s to get a specific dressing. “Why’d you do the devil’s tango with Brit? Are you- are you going to start being consistent yet?”

“Dad told me to tell you that we have to go to Costco.” Peyton told Ethan as he walked into the kitchen, not even saying hello first, “We’re out of the pretzel’s he likes and I want to buy an electric fan.” 

“Ethan!” Peyton called from her room, she was sitting at her desk, painting a water bottle, what else was new. “I want pizza for dinner.”

A short sigh escaped her lips as she shut her locker. Thank god the school day was over, she had been really busy with preparing for jobs and trying to keep her sanity. She wanted to be a normal teenager so desperately, but unfortunately it just wasn’t an option anymore. Her train of thought was interrupted when she noticed Ethan walking down the hallway, somehow balancing books in one of his arms. “Hey, let me help you.” She said, approaching him and reaching out to take the books from him.
