Listen I recognize that games have become about escapism and, by extension, all spaces associated with them have largely become the same thing. But I think that's wrong AND I don't like it. The world doesn't go away because you stop looking at it. Like it or not, by occupying a public position, you NEED to deal with politics. These problems have only become so bad because people for years have sincerely believed that they aren't effected. They are. You are. And as these situations continue to escalate, and they very much will, it becomes ever more important to be willing to stand and engage, to learn and understand, and encourage others to do so along with you.

So, how about that OffKai political awareness thing? Sounds pretty good, right? Surely the people among the gaming and vtuber communities want to engage politically and understand what's happening in the rest of the world, right? Right??? *cricket sounds* Thanks crickets, you always know what to say.
