I dunno
Guys, this is so fucking random but I don't care, I think I figured out how to fix Chloe from Fairly Oddparents. Yeah this girl
Three things
1. Make her younger than Timmy by around 2–3 years, so about 7 or 8. I can't really explain this fix all too well—it's hard to put into words—but makes sense to me at least.
2. Change her backstory. My idea is that she's similar to Remy Buxaplenty (you could even use this fact in an episode, he tries to use their similar situations to get her on his side/turn her against Timmy). She's an overachiever because she thinks if she's the best and brightest little girl her parents might give her some attention—they go on a shit ton of business trips and when they are home they don't really acknowledge her. They're always too focused on work and the like. Rough Example: Chloe saves the city from the monster by pulling a thorn out of its foot
Chloe: Mom, Dad look! I saved the city and helped the monster out! I even baked him some croissants for his trip back home!
Her Mom & Dad: That's nice honey, anyway we've got a work convention to go to, we'll be back in two weeks. Love you!
Monster: ...Dang...
Chloe: *on the verge of tears*
She tries to help others because she's a nice person yes. But she also desperately wants people to like her so she can get the positive attention and reinforcement she needs from somewhere. Then you add in the fact that they just moved, therefore she's lost all her old friends and basically has to start from scratch. Boom! A great example of a kid in need of Fairies.
3. The Fairy situation. You could have them not share them at all preferably, but in that case you'd have to add more characters to the roster. So I propose you change the reason they have to share. It's genuinely as simple as making it that Fairyland likes to cut corners from time. So in some cases when two kids in need of Fairies are in very close proximity to each (such as across the street from one another) they'll get assigned the same one(s) as it saves time and resources. It makes more sense than a fairy shortage—at least to me.
So, I’ve heard about this reboot’s development for a while now and wasn’t expecting anything of quality, but what we got was worse than expected. It’s just mediocre sitcom writing with the Fairly Oddparents logo slapped onto it. The animation had little effort put into it, even though it was the main thing in the original.
It's just the Fairly OddParents was a show that I grew up with and had a significant influence on me.
Seeing what it became in its later seasons, the controversy around its creator and that one actor from those mediocre live-action movies, and now this reboot!?
Honestly, this show deserves so much better at this point. 😢
P.S
RIP Hutch Barman’s Twitter that was hacked by NFT boi’s.
