Yay! Today Baby and I finished out trek around Paris! Now we are on to Italy! I learned that each time you finish a map you unlock a new background design!
This map is much longer than Paris - I’m very excited to get started! Our first stop was Milan!
Baby evolved last night! She is in the Beast line and so far she is in good care so she turned into this precious little bunny character! She is also out of the baby stage - she is a child now!
I also learned that as your character moves through the different life stages (baby, child, etc.) you gain health hearts. So when Baby was in the baby stage she only has two hearts and now that she is a child she has three. The hearts are important because every time you miss your quota for a day you lose half a heart of health and if you have a good day you fill a half of a heart (if your hearts are not already full). So as the character matures you have more chances to keep them should you miss days.
All of these developments with my Teku Teku Angel and given me a renewed since of excitement! I feel determined to work my way through Italy! Also, each day I have been unlocking entries in the information section of the diary and I’m surprised that there is still more data to unlock! It’s pretty interesting stuff!
I’ve also been consistent with inputting my day to day information into my companion diary so my graph is slowly but surely filling out. I enter my meals and steps each day and I fill out wight and percentage of fat about twice a week. It’s pretty interesting to see the weight vs percentage of fat because I’ve noticed that even though my weight went up a smidge my % of body fat stayed that say which tells me that I’m starting to gain a little muscle! This is very encouraging information to me.
As usual, Baby and I are chugging along - making progress one step at a time. So far it has been an effective method for me to start taking better care of myself and getting in better shape!

It’s been a little over two weeks since I started my adventure with my Teku Teku Angel pet and I have to say I’m noticing some differences with my health! I’m intrigued by how adding just 2000 extra steps to my day consistently has made a noticeable impact on my life.
I’ve been feeling lightly sore in my thighs and glutes the past couple of days which tells me that I’m actually gaining a little bit of muscle and I’ve also noticed that I don’t get nearly as tired as I used to when I get back from my walks. I feel stronger! It’s a good feeling because usually my body is really sensitive so building up stamina is a huge accomplishment for me!
I’ve learned that when it comes to upping my fitness and improving my overall health it is best for me to go about it slow and steady. That’s what I remind myself when I contemplate my goals: slow and steady wins the race!
Since I’ve been seeing some changes in me I’ve added a few other elements into my daily schedule to assist in my journey. I’ve been hitting my water drinking goal the past week and I started taking a daily multi-vitamin! See what I mean? I have to start with tiny changes and work my way up.
I also dusted off and charged up my Galaxy Active smart watch. I’ve been logging my progress daily in my Teku Teku Angel companion diary which is super cute but I want to use my watch as well for more accurate logging and feedback. I could go on all day about my Galaxy watch but this is a Teku Teku Angel blog so I will hold my tongue - but I will say that it’s been super helpful. I won’t be replacing my Teku Teku Angel with it though because I adore my little pet and for some reason a virtual pet has been the most effective way to keep me consistent with hitting my physical activity goals. Basically, my pedometer pet gets me off the couch and my watch helps me fine tune my routine. It’s quite fantastic!
Maybe one day I will do a special post about my Galaxy Active smart watch but in the mean time Baby and I will keep chugging along, hitting our quota one day at a time!

Yay! Today was a very successful day for Baby and me!
Hitting my quota was a piece of cake today because I had to do some grocery shopping and also my puppy was super energetic today so I took him on two walks instead of one. Whew!
I haven’t check the diary tips and info the past couple of days so this evening I have a date with Google Translate lol plus Baby and I have passed at least two other stops in Paris so I have a little reading to do there as well.
Since I’ve been using my pedometer pet I’ve been much more mindful of my day to day decisions regarding my health. I’ve made a few adjustments: I spend more time outside because of my quota, I’ve been drinking much more water and today I actually picked up a daily multi-vitamin from the store!
I still eat a good amount of sugary snacks but I’m thinking I will get around to cutting back on them soon...it’s going to be tough! But it can’t possibly be doing me any good. I mean, I could at least cut back to one snack a day...one of these days! I’m just such a lil hungry hungry hippo sometimes! LOL
So far I’ve only had one day where I haven’t hit my quota which I’m proud of and I’m hoping that this weekend Baby will evolve into a new character! In the meantime I’m going to continue to truckin’ along and stick to my routine with my Teku Teku Angel. I have a tendency to cycle through virtual pets quickly BUT I want to keep my Teku Teku Angel as the one consistent pet I run. It’s super easy to take care of and it’s a lot of fun so it’s only a matter of me sticking to my guns on this project. I think the companion diary keeps the pet extra interesting, as well! I just need to continue to keep up the good work!

“Good morning! Today I will do my best, too!!”
My Teku Teku Angel evolved today! I missed my quota yesterday so it grew many legs instead of just two. Maybe if I keep hitting my quota it will evolve back into the two legged baby.
Since restarted my Teku Teku Angel I’ve been doing well this incorporating 5000 steps into my day. Yesterday I took a shorted walk with my dog and didn’t carry my angel the whole day - I think if I kept it on me I would have hit my quota but I didn’t want to nickle and dime it yesterday.
Nothing too much has happened since then. I did visit Bastille Square in my trek around Paris with my angel, Baby, which was pretty cool. I’ve also been unlocking entries of fitness information and tips, which is another cute feature of the DS companion diary. I’ve been logging my food pretty consistently and occasionally I will update my weight and body fat percentage (I have one of those smart scales that can gather than information) but I’m still being pretty loosey goosey with the whole thing which has been really nice.
This evolution is where I was when my last angel left (or gel-kun at this point) so I’m looking forward to seeing what Baby evolves into next!!

Jackpot!!
This is a photo I took about a week ago that I never got around to writing a post for because I’ve been out of town...
Speaking of being out of town - my angel got mad at me and ran away yesterday because I didn’t carry my pedometer around with me during my vacation! I didn’t think I’d be walking around very much so I left it in my room...as it turns out I walked WELL OVER my quota EVERYDAY! So...my angel was neglected in vain...but hey! it was a good vacation!
Yesterday I simply reset my Teku Teku Angel with all the same settings, including the name - Baby. I would have renamed it to Bobby this time around but I didn’t know what the options meant at the time. Baby is still a simple and sweet name so it’s all good!
Other than falling off the wagon on vacation I’ve been doing really well with hitting my quota everyday. I’m more active lately because of my Teku Teku Angel with is a great feeling. Who knew a few extra 1000 steps would make such a big difference?
The next 90 days I have my quota set to 5000 steps but it I get used to that quota and it becomes too easy by the end of the time period I may bump up my goal to 8000 steps in November...actually I have a lot going on at the end of the year so maybe in January. Start of the new year with a new goal!
I’ve been using my Teku Teku Angel Nintendo DS companion diary and I still like it a lot! It’s super cute and I still like seeing the charts of what I’ve been up to. I’ve also started logging my weight and body fat % once a week. It’s not a detail I am focusing on but it’s cool to have a record of that data, as well! I won’t be checking my weight for a couple more days, though, because I need to flush out all of the salt I ate while I was on vacation!

It’s been about four days since I started running my Teku Teku Angel and I am feeling the burn! I’ve been more mindful of moving around more throughout the day and I can feel the difference. My legs are getting stronger for sure!
Yesterday I adjusted my quota to 5000 steps a day and so far it seems like a good choice. I hit my goal today which took some conscious effort but it wasn’t difficult. I think the longer I include the extra steps in my day the more it will feel like second nature.
Since I’ve been more active the past couple of days (and because its blazing hot outside) I’m finally getting back on top of drinking enough water everyday. It’s about time, really! LOL but seriously, it is nice that I’m adjusting my daily routine a little here and there for a healthier existence.
I don’t see myself having an issue meeting my daily step quota on a regular basis however I am going on a tiny vacation soon and I’m worried I won’t get as many steps in. I torn between pausing it or keep it running and challenge myself to ---- I don’t know, I guess I could carve out time to go on a walk or two. It’s not a place I’m SUPER familiar with but I’m sure I could find a few good spots. Oooo! Maybe I walk by the beach! I’m leaning towards keeping it running but we will see!
On a final note, Baby and I reached Concord Square in Paris today! It was very cool reading the little exert about the history of the landmark - and we should be reaching the next landmark tomorrow!
