im so curious about what Vee would be in the mermaid au, since theres so many ways to take it! in her natural form id think shed be some sort of sea slug, but if we're going for the whole shapeshifter bit then maybe something amphibious or able to change appearance would work... WAIT A SECOND IVE GOT IT SHE SHOULD TOTALLY BE AN OCTOPUS! specifically a mimic octopus which change their colors and move their bodies to look like other creatures! -adopt anon

the species isn't overly common in the Isles due to Belos hunting them down for the purpose of being spies/test subjects. Vee was one of these and managed to break out. I'm tempted to make her some kind of mudskipper hybrid, tho, so she could reasonably use the octopus genes to pretend to be Luz + the mudskipper genes to survive on land and keep Camila from worrying about her definitely-selkie daughter.
