Mahalo nui loa for being the voice and spreading the word! Many people don’t know how important sharks are to our oceans ecosystem so it’s great having people like you on their team! This is great footage and love the background music! 💙💙 #Repost @biggsphotography_ ・・・ There are over 450 species of sharks and about a third of these species are critically endangered due to overfishing whether it be direct or indirect, accidental bycatch, entanglements with nets and ropes, and shark culling. Estimated over 100 million of sharks are killed per year by humans, as if we became the apex predatory of the oceans. Sharks are a vital key to oceans ecosystems and if nothing is changed then our oceans would crumble. Sharks keep the reefs healthy, and with some of the shark species seeing 90% of extinction, shark culling could result in a decrease in all sea life that we as humans rely on resulting in a dead zone. Sharks are the apex predator and if we don’t speak up now the shark species would be wiped and the food chain would collapse as their pray would become too numerous causing the pray population of the sharks pray to die out, which would then result in other species being wiped from our oceans.🤙🏼🦈 @oceanskeepers @oneoceandiving @oneoceaneducation @oneoceanhawaii @oneoceaninspired @oneoceanconservation @oceanramsey @sharkgirlmadison @sharksneedlove #oceankeepers #oneoceandiving #savesharks #helpsavesharks #endsharkfinning #sharkconservation #sharklove #savetheocean #internationalsharkproject #sharkconservation #apexpredatornotmonster #protectsharks
