Hi. Sorry to bothering you, I’m discovering chapterofourown while reading your fic about The Pitt. And I was wondering when we see “chapter 4/5” does that mean the fic end with the chapter 5 or does that mean you already have a chapter 5 ready to be posted and there may be more chapters coming in ?
So chapter counts on AO3 are meant to show how long the story is- in this case, I have 4 chapters written and posted, and chapter 5 will be the last one.
Sometimes chapter counts can change- I started writing thinking Ocean Views was only going to be 4 chapters total! But generally, if you see a 4/5 that means the fifth is the last expected.
