When I was first making Dread I was unsure of whom to make into their guardian. At first I thought of maybe trying to make bhall, didn't work. Then I thought about Orin and the necromancer at the colony who cuts up durge, but no didn't like those either

Then I had an eureka moment and realised I could make the guardian look like Gortash.

1. The emperor is portraying him and is probably very pissy about it which is funny: "Out of everyone, why this asshole?" basically

2. It would be a funny headcanon that when Karlach is talking about Gortash, Dread kind of puts two and two together but says nothing

3. Or if they don't, the shocking realisation in the act 2 finale that shit, that's the guy from my dreams. Tho at this point they'd already pretty much know that they're the original chosen of bhall. They'd find their note about Gortash in the colony anyway
