Lady Alyssa Velaryon (oc) | Regent of Lord Monterys Velaryon

Lady Alyssa Velaryon was born Alyssa Waters to the late Lord Monford Velaryon and an unnamed woman. When she was still a babe she was brought forth to the Lord Velaryon by a family member who loudly proclaimed her to be the mans daughter. It took just one glance at the girl for Lord Monford to recognize her as his. He was quick to legitimize her and raised her as he would any true-born child.

Eventually the Lord did sire a true-born son with his wife named Monterys. Alyssa got along with her younger brother well enough despite their large age gap. When their father died at the Battle of the Blackwater, Monterys demanded his older sister become his regent over their half-uncle Aurane Waters, who bent the knee to King Joffrey I Baratheon.

After becoming regent, Alyssa began to worry about continuing to support the cause of Stannis Baratheon and for the safety of herself and her younger brother. Stannis Baratheon sent his sister, Alysanne Baratheon, to treat with the young Lady in order to quell her worries and assure the continued naval support of house Velaryon to his cause.
