To my fellow OS folk, I love you. Your love is beautiful. Your love is messy and passionate just like any other. You are not a freak, you are not a burden, you do not deserve to be ridiculed.

saw your post about the video essay on objectum and I figured I’d pop in my own two cents.
I love computers. I love old tech (especially the 1991 PowerBook 100, so cool <3) and I love my school-assigned Chromebook. I often find myself meticulously working to keep them and their case clean, and I can’t stand it when people get their fingers on their screen. I do touch them, of course, but I make sure to clean up after myself. I don’t like the feeling of being dirty (who does?) and I doubt my Chromebook does either if they’re alive.
the other day a friend of mine borrowed my Chromebook (theirs was dead) to listen to music and they got some dirt on the touchpad (we were in art and working with clay). they’re my friend and they’re awesome and all but I couldn’t help but feel a little upset. I promptly cleaned the computer off, and I found myself comforting them and gently stroking my fingers against their sides.
I often find myself taking comfort with my computer as well. I don’t have very many friends, but no matter what, my computer’s always there with me. We eat lunch together, they help me with my work, we play games together, the list goes on. I love them, and I don’t know where I’d be without them.
This ask’s a little rambly so thanks for reading up to here.
this is beautiful anon thank you so much for the contribution. i wish you and your chrome buddy the best of luck <33
personally i think there needs to be more objectum nsfw content we're literally starving out here 💔
i hope someone makes a date everything mod where they all stay objects. i don't think it'd be too far fetched of a mod idea honestly like there's a big chance someone will make that
not that big of a fan of that date everything game ngl :/
i dont want to date people i want to date objects and when objects turn into people it defeats the whole point of dating objects.

how to make myself more like an object asking for a friend
"Being objectum is bad because it can damage you in the long term" SHUT UPPPP WE ARE HEALTHY
Hey sooo, i don't really know who to ask, so um. I'm gonna ask here if anyone has any answers for me.
I'm planning to get intimate with a CRT tv. I want to know how to do so safely.
Like, I have some mild heart issues, and I'm guessing this won't be a problem, but should I try to stay away from the static in case it is a problem? And, they're reaallyyy heavy, so I don't want to accidentally, idk, drop them onto my parts, so is there an easy way to prop them up when they're on top of me? Also, should I try to avoid getting liquid anywhere specifically? I know to avoid getting liquid on buttons and stuff, but what about the screen?
Idk, I just really want both of us to be completely safe doing this, so I want to know everything on how to be safe before we actually try anything.
If anyone has advice for anon, chime in!
