This table runner was created from a vintage Japanese obi (kimono belt), shortened from its original length to one that works well for most formal tables. The design features large cresting waves in bright blue, orange, soft green and yellow against a cream background. Lots of gold in the patterning as well. The original obi was maru style - the highest level of formality - with patterning on both sides of the obi - so this obi is also double-sided, which is a nice feature in case of spills.
