Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira)

Shinobu finds your creativity fascinating and even compliments your craftsmanship, but there’s a sinister undertone to her words.

• “How interesting. Do you think these secret rooms would be enough to hide from me? I wonder how long it would take for me to find you.”

• She’ll playfully test your hideouts by sneaking into them herself, only to show up behind you with a sweet but unnerving smile. “Found you~”

Kyojuro Rengoku (Flame Hashira)

Kyojuro is overly enthusiastic and supportive of your skills. He genuinely sees your work as a valuable asset, but his obsession with keeping you close turns into a problem.

• “Your talents are incredible! But why do you keep disappearing into these hideouts? I must know where you are at all times—to protect you, of course!”

• He might even suggest building a hideout together, only to subtly design it in a way that traps you inside.

Tengen Uzui (Sound Hashira) and His Wives

Tengen is fascinated by your knack for secret rooms, calling it “flashy in a unique way.” His wives, however, take a more possessive approach.

• Tengen: “Secret hideouts? How bold! Show me what you’ve built—I want to see this masterpiece myself.”

• Makio: “Are you trying to run away from us? Why else would you need to hide?”

• Suma: “Please don’t leave us! I’ll cry forever if you disappear!”

• Hinatsuru: “If these are for safety, that’s fine, but we’ll all use them together. That way, you’ll never be alone.”

• They’ll eventually take over your hideouts, turning them into shared spaces to ensure you can’t escape their overwhelming affection.

Mitsuri Kanroji (Love Hashira)

Mitsuri adores your work and sees it as an expression of your individuality. However, her intense love for you manifests in obsessive ways.

• “Wow! You’re so talented! But… why are you hiding? Do you think I wouldn’t find you if you disappeared? I’d search the whole world for you, you know!”

• She starts spending more time in your secret rooms, sometimes decorating them with personal touches to make you feel like you belong there—with her, forever.

Muichiro Tokito (Mist Hashira)

Muichiro is initially indifferent but becomes hyper-focused once he notices your actions. He doesn’t understand why you feel the need to hide, and it bothers him more than he admits.

• “You’re building more hideouts… Are you trying to avoid me? That’s unnecessary. I’ll find you no matter where you go.”

• You’d frequently find him already in the hideout you’re working on, his blank stare unnerving as he calmly states, “You’re not going anywhere.”

Sanemi Shinazugawa (Wind Hashira)

Sanemi is furious when he discovers your secret rooms, mistaking them for escape routes. His anger stems from his overwhelming fear of losing you.

• “What the hell is this? Are you planning to run away? Over my dead body!”

• He’ll destroy parts of your hideouts, demanding you explain yourself, but deep down, he’s terrified of you leaving. He may end up guarding your secret entrances obsessively.

Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira)

Gyomei is calm on the surface but deeply emotional about your actions. He views your secret hideouts as a sign that you don’t feel safe with him, and that thought breaks his heart.

• “Why do you feel the need to hide? Do you not trust me to protect you?”

• He’ll subtly make it harder for you to access your hideouts, praying silently that you’ll rely on him instead.

Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira)

Obanai is deeply possessive and paranoid about your hideouts. He’s convinced you’re preparing to leave him, and he can’t bear the thought.

• “You’re making these to hide from me, aren’t you? I won’t allow it.”

• Kaburamaru, his snake, will be tasked with monitoring you, ensuring you never get too far. Obanai will even use your own hideouts as traps to keep you close.

Aoi Kanzaki

Aoi is baffled by your obsession but secretly admires your ingenuity. Her tsundere nature makes her lash out at first, but her possessive side surfaces when she realizes how skilled you are at disappearing.

• “Why are you so good at this? You better not be thinking of running away from me!”

• She might try to guilt you into staying put by playing up how much work she does for you.

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao silently watches your work with fascination. Her yandere tendencies are subtle but deeply unsettling. She memorizes every secret room and might start using them to ambush you.

• “Why do you need to hide? Are you trying to leave me? I won’t let that happen.”

One of the many wives of Shango, his most loyal by some accounts. While Oshun is with other men, and Oya is on the battlefield, Oba lends her patient ear to her husband. In some versions of the story, namely in Brazil, she literally lends her ear in a cruel joke played by Oya and Oshun, her sister-wives. She is the orisha of fidelity, representing the bonds that hold marriage together. She is also a fearsome warrior sometimes said to have trained Oya herself in use of the sword. She protects women and is sacred to the River Oba.

Design Notes: She leans more toward her Brazilian depictions adorned in red and pink. She wields a sword and shield as a warrior, with the sword tasseled with parrot feathers and the shield weeping to relate to her stories. She has her bow-and-arrow symbol on her forehead and her ears are covered to again relate back to her lore!
