Pokémon fans —anime, game, manga alike— what are thoughts on a writing event with the letters of the alphabet?

For a quick rundown, 26 letters of the alphabet would be up for grabs — pick a letter, a prompt, a ship of your choosing, and write a fic for that corresponding letter. ie; I is for Impenetrable (quick self plug for a fic I did for a project just like this one for a different fandom), R is for Resolution, C is for Contest, etc.

How abouttt Elarië x Thorin? (And you can add Bilbo, too, if you can manage it! That’s probably a lot of characters for five sentences, though 😅)

The world felt silence once more, a calm sort of silence mixed with a lingering mourning and the relief of hard fought victory. The funeral was over and many were on their seperate ways but final goodbyes had yet to be said, despite words being a fleeting thing in the midst of emotion. Bilbo and Elarie could only think of thorin's last wish for them and how they would honour it going forward with their lives after the loss. Accompanied by the wizard on the journey home the half elf promised the hobbit they would keep in touch by writing one another over the years to come before she too parted ways for a final time. Elarie had much to attend in a new chapter of her life in order to follow through with thorin's wish for her to choose her elven half of heritage and live long.

first glass — how did you two first meet, and what was the dynamic like? feel free to chat about whichever AU/verse you prefer (if any)!

It was a "you need help idiot" "no I dont go home" dynamic at the start

bouquet — how did your first date go? was it casual and chill, or was it more of an elaborate one? who asked who out?

Sonar asked spectren to dinner, sonar thinks it went well (minus not getting laid) cuz they listened to everything he said but that's where things went wrong cuz they listened to everything he said 0-0. Spectren went home confused and misinformed on some things and poor Valentine had to set some things straight and answer way too many questions instead if sleeping /hj /silly

praline — do you and your f/o share similar love languages or are they entirely different? how does the similarity/difference manifest in your relationship dynamic?

Robert expresses through touch and words, spectren is still learning but follows examples and will make an effort to show him love the same way he shows them. Though it ends up being more failed attempts at touch and weird phrases that sound like they might be compliments? Spectren is actually better at expressing by being a presence and spending time. Robert gets to have a ghost hang around and say things that would make phanomaman seem like a normal person. /silly

Still working on my Palletshipping longfic, Not Worried. I've been saying for months that I'm gonna post it soon but I actually mean it this time! I finally wrapped up chapter 5 and now I just need to do a final edit of it. Once that's done, I'll post the first chapter and figure out a posting schedule for the first few chapters. That'll probably be early next week (because I'm going camping this weekend!).

In the mean time, today's snippet comes from an Oakshipping drabble I started this afternoon, inspired by my time nature journaling this summer. I don't know where exactly I'm going with it but the world could always use some more Oakshipping fluff! Enjoy!

I've been slowly continuing to work on my newest Oakshipping longfic wip, No Excuses, this week. I've been mostly plotting and drafting scenes, so no snippets to share from that one today! Instead I'm sharing a little bit from a new Oakshipping wip that I got some inspiration for this weekend. It'll end up being another Oakshipping smut - I know we need more fluffy Oakshipping fics, but you just gotta go where the inspiration takes you! And it happens to be smut in this case.

I love hearing more about other people’s f/o’s, it just makes me happy, especially when it’s for a character from a franchise I adore, I watched the LoTR and The Hobbit not that long ago and I loved it, I even picked up my own F/O from them! (It’s one of the hobbits! x3) I’m just a little nervous to just start posting about it all openly, so using anon feels like a nice place to start getting to know the community! And honestly it’s nice finding someone with a common interest who also enjoys self shipping.

I cant say for how long precisely we have been married as I have seen other selfshippers do with their f/os, maybe 5+ years?

Weve (system) only publicly been a selfshipper online as long as this blog has existed (dated by pinned post) but I have been lurking in the selfshipper community online for over a decade now (maybe 1 1/2?) And going between platforms in that time as a whole the community is generally very welcoming and nearly every platform will have some sort of content for just about everyone

And if you don't? I'm here to help if I can, i love making gifts and exchanging content so I'm always open to requests if anyone has an f/o they cant find content for (i have a thing for free fanart and i have commissions open but my writing is always free)
