My Lady.
I have kept my vigil. My oath to you lives on but not in the dark below to which you lay. It is kept within the ever burning legacy that you have given to the world. I have watched your lands for the time, which has felt like years, from your passing. All who would encroach upon it shall meet a doom that likes of which would be written in legends. They will be scattered.
My eyes however do not only grace the threats found in the south. I see what is to the north as well. Not the land to which I hail, nor from where the Havenfire had been brought to me...but from the frozen wastes to which some have taken up residence. If they should attack, I make no threat, the snow will run red with hubris.
I will hold high those who bring deceit from within. For they are the insects that gnaw at the pillars of Blackfyre. It is them that would bring destruction to your legacy. When their necks are between the cold metal of my gauntlets I will look upon them. I shall see how they look to the sky as if asking some divine entity to reach down and pluck them up....In that moment they will find no solace, for the only god there is me.
However many come they will only feel the iron of my fist and the steel of my spear. I know not their names, for I care not to. To me only the sacred land on which they trod with ill intent matters. I do not hate them though, for they do not understand. I will make them however. For in me they will see the burning retribution.
Of a thousand fires. I am your will made manifest. I am the bringer of hope to those under your banners. I am the loyalty that inspires others. I am the commander of the troops to which you graciously left me with. More importently...I am no longer the defender of Blackfyre, but of your legacy, Lady Tayela. I miss you.
