“Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases
My blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places”
-Garth Brooks
I just had a thought...
You know how there’s characters like Tracer and other big pop culture names? In the Oasis there could be 1000000 Tracers you could walk by at any given moment. Maybe that’s a cool thing as there could be an infinite number of variations with different clothing and coloring.
Would Blizzard still be up and running? To keep making digital skins to sell? Would it all be up to private moders? How would original content stealing go with pretty much everything being digital?
When the Oasis started it probably didn’t have a lot of money. How did they get the rights to use trademark things? Did they just promise to pay them back or is there a hidden Easter egg of a long copyright list hidden?
I need to stew on this....any thoughts?
