Lion + whatever ship that fits with the song. Yeah, the song it's stuck in my damn head
Jyuto went to the cemetery two times per year, no more and no less. He didn't like to mope around, to be depressed, to show his weakness. He would only visit his parents and his best friend once every year, to pay his respects and tell them about his life. And talk about how he missed them.
That day was cold, as expected for a day in January. Jyuto had arrived the cemetery about an hour ago, but he hadn't finished his prayers yet. He had a lot he wanted to tell his best friend, his partner. Someone he had once admired more than anyone else. If Jyuto was a rabbit, his partner was a lion. He attacked criminals fiercely when he had to, never letting any of them pass through him. He had never lost a case.
Jyuto was telling him about his past year. About how he had started doing shady jobs and be harsher when taking care of criminals involved with drug dealing. He had no mercy anymore. He also told him about how he started getting involved with rap battles, and about his two new friends, Rio and Samatoki, members of his division. Jyuto told him about everything important happening in his life. He was concentrated on his prayers when he heard a voice calling him.
Jyuto turned to see who was calling him and there was a woman. She was short, had long black hair, and by her side there was a little girl, who soon was running in his direction and jumping on his legs. She was still too small to reach his waist.
“Uncle Jyuto!” the girl said.
"Hello, little Mizuki," Jyuto said while squatting so he could give the girl a hug.
"I'm not little! I grew up 5 centimeters since the last time you saw me!"
"Oh, my bad. You're a big girl already."
"Mizuki, behave!" the woman said.
"Don't worry miss Shinozaki, I don't mind," Jyuto said, standing up with the little girl on his arms.
"I didn't expect to meet you here so early."
"I have a lot to tell him," he said. "But I don't wanna disturb you, so I can leave for now if you want."
"Oh no, please stay. I know how much my husband was important for you."
Jyuto nodded. The woman and her daughter joined him in front of the grave and also started their prayers.
Jyuto finished before them and bid them farewell, turning down an invitation to go to their house to spend the day. Jyuto loved that family, but he didn’t feel like he belonged to them. Not without his partner with them. Besides, he had to work. He hadn’t taken the entire day off, just part of it to go see his friend. He rarely took day offs, because criminals also didn’t and he had a mission to accomplish. He needed to end a war. To end the evil who had taken his parents and his best friends away from him. He had to be the lion now that the original one was dead, and so he would.
He couldn’t just cry anymore.
