This Filipino Kamayan feast was worth the journey to Washington Heights. Lechon kawali, pork lumpia, pancit canton, rice … all the comforts.
Yummy eats with my darling

This was such a good day. Went to this restaurant in Soho called The Dutch with Candyce. We were excited to go because it was recommended to Candyce by Jackie Aina (via tiktok lol) as she's a regular there every time she visits NYC and it did not disappoint. We joked about how we gotta return the favor to Jackie and put her on to eats in LA because putting me us on too our own city is wild. Honestly, I was wary of the menu initially only because it was stuff I was familiar with mixed with things I wasn’t but in the end the food and drinks were hella enjoyable. Beginning of my adult era? Casual midweek dinners with friends? I acquiesce *throws hands up in surrender*
Black Sea Bass on a bed of crispy rice with bok choy and mushrooms for “supper” 🤌🏾
Then I got home and watched these Hulu gems. Uber entertaining. 10/10 would recommend. I’d been eyeing No Exit from the commercials I’d see on Hulu (yes we be team Hulu with ads sometimes) and it didn’t disappoint as I was on the edge of my bed. And with Fresh, I’d added it to my watchlist after reading a preview a couple days ago and threw it in after NE. It was a thriller/horror but by the time I finished it I had to look it up to see if it was also supposed to be a comedy because I wuh chucklin! It was a knee slapper but it has points of good laughter and also kept my heartbeat racing.
Such a good day. I’m grateful
A rose gold weekend in NYC
