Neverwinter Nights 2 here has a shadow cursed part of the map! It was caused because a guardian of an ancient empire became powered by the Shadow Weave during the events of Karsus's Folly! Isn't that neat?
And Baldur's Gate 3: you also have Karsus, a shadow curse, and Shar's domain!

Fixes for the casual NwN2 player. Contribute to nwn2fixes/player development by creating an account on GitHub.
Download the zip file (found by clicking the 'code' button) and unzip into the directory My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/override.
If you have Enhanced Edition, you'll want to delete the UI folder from the 'base' directory, as EE makes major changes to the whole interface system and isn't compatible with UI alterations built on older versions of the game. Everything else should be safe to use, as long as you don't have any other mods installed that touch the same files this does.
A small detail I love about motb is that they gave companions their own spell casting sounds instead of the default ones in oc. It's especially cool to hear them cast epic spells (like the laugh they make when casting mass fowl). The only problem is that hearing their screams when casting an epic spell became a trigger for me, because those geniuses loved using such spells by default in absolutely any fight, even the easiest ones. A tiny rat runs past? Time to cast vampiric feast like right the fuck now.
Neverwinter Nights 2 stumbled so BG3 could run.
