Okay so one of the ways that I look at eNVuzi is actually through the lens of the whole brains/brawn/heart conversation that happens around teams. Like who is the brains, who is the brawn, and who is the heart of the team. And the interesting thing is that there is a pretty at front way of looking at them that I think V in particular buys into.
This is just a look into how I plan out fics, because I wrote this all out to make a one shot and while working on an outline for another project.
Full breakdown behind the read more because this gets long:
V thinks she is the brawn, that N is the heart, and that Uzi is the brains. The logic to her is pretty clear, she has used violence to handle the weight of memories and the deal she made. At front she is the brawn, she is seen fighting the most and is seen relishing in it. N as the heart makes sense for her, he brings up the morality of the team and is he is the most emotional one, and is also a large part of the reason she made her deal. Uzi being the brains also makes sense to her, Uzi made a railgun out of scrap and freed their memories with a homemade conscious jacking device. That would definitely qualify her as the brains.
However I think that in reality its actually shifted one over.
V is the heart. N is the brains. Uzi is the brawn.
On the second layer of it you can combine the two:
V is heart coming from brawn, N is brains coming from heart, Uzi is brawn coming from brains.
V's entire arc and story is her trying to keep N safe, she is driven by emotions and heart through her entire story line. Her arc reaches a conclusion not through her strength, but through her decision to trust Uzi. But all of that is done through strength: she is hyper protective and uses her strength to express her emotions. Heart from brawn.
N is very emotional yes, but also is very emotionally intelligent. One description of him is that he understands Uzi 100% despite differences, he is described as naive and trusting yes but also as smart and calculating. His arc is him showing his actual intelligence and strength, all stemming from his care for others. Brains from heart.
Uzi is a genius of course, building weapons from scrap and coding a way to hijack someone's entire consciousness. However I think the way she approaches all of her problems is through brute force. Killer robots? Shoot them with a big gun. Human company? Shoot them with several big guns on a space pod. Solver trying to take her over? Well her mom said to not be a little bitch so she just say no then hit the solver with a pickaxe. Boyfriend doubting himself? Eat the bad paper. Brawn from brains.
Even further than this though, is that the shared quality also reveals a lot about how the interactions between characters play out and how their connections are formed.
V and N have a shared heart, shared history through the manor and a lot of emotional history, and N connects with V through understanding why she did what she did, while V has to power through her barriers and reach out and apologize.
N and Uzi have shared intelligence. They are both shown to be nerdy, and are often on the same wave length. As mentioned N's emotional intelligence allows him to understand Uzi, as well as him bringing up counterpoints to her whole kill all humans plan being probably immoral. Uzi's strength and stubbornness is what allows N to grow and show more of himself. She immediately tells him that he can be treated better, and even in the music video we can see that her strength and support helps N be more confident.
V and Uzi are both fighters, and importantly, are both shown to have bio-solver forms that were wild and unrestrained. I personally think they both struggle with their own strength, and are a bit afraid of it. Uzi with the cabin, and V with all that she has done. Uzi's intelligence is what saved V with the memories, and I can see her pulling V into more nerdy things like reading and anime. V's decision to trust Uzi came from the heart, and came directly after her deciding to protect Uzi and even reflexively standing up for her against Tessa, who I am pretty sure she knew was Cyn.
Of course this isn't to say that they don't have the third trait: N has the highest kill count of the show and is a good fighter, Uzi's belief in herself is what powers through the solver, and V is shown to have a softer side and be intelligent. But just as an exercise in appearance vs reality, twisting perception, and connection this was a fun way to approach all of the characters.
Anyway just a look into my folder of character interaction essays because this show has replaced most of my frontal lobe.

whenever i think of a nuvi cuddle pile, i always like to imagine V falling asleep first.
whenever N and Uzi are in bed, V hangs nearby from a piece of rebar that Uzi installed in her bedroom. every night, they all talk about how their days went, whether it be school gossip or whatever door-related ramblings Khan forced upon them whenever he got the chance.
once their conversation dies down, V keeps swivelling her optics to the bedroom door and the sleeping couple, making sure there’s no danger even though the biggest threats in the bunker are already in the room. once she’s completely sure, she would slip out of lucidity herself.
then, once she realises she has feelings for them, V joins their relationship (though not before a whole wave of denial). as a result, her boundaries change dramatically, and the other two are more than happy to explore where those boundaries are.
when N and Uzi convince V to join them in bed, she’s hesitant at first. who would stay on guard, if not V herself?
but once she’s sandwiched between them and their arms wrap around her, she forgets those thoughts instantly, now focused on their warmth. her body, after years of staying alert, is not used to the feeling of complete safety. within half a minute, she’s out like a light.
to V’s embarrassment, N and Uzi notice how fast she falls asleep and gets teased for it once she wakes up in the morning. this lasts for a few weeks before V gets used to their comfort, and she’s able to stay awake long enough to have those conversations with her new partners while they all cuddle. now, she falls asleep at the same time as them.
I'm still dying of black lung at the Fanfiction Writing mines (chapter 4 is taking so loooooong dude please help) but suffice to say that Nuziv still haunts my every waking moment like some sort of evil polyamorous specter, which recently has me thinking about Uzi and her role in repairing/rekindling N and V's relationship
Because the thing about Uzi is that, as any great protagonist, is THE main driving force behind the show, right? Basically the entire plot of the series is driven by her actions (venturing out to kill the Murder Drones, siding with them against a bigger threat, digging up the secrets of the past, etc). The pilot starts off poking fun at the hero's journey and yet ironically there is no inciting incident because Uzi Doorman *is* the inciting incident behind everything!
It makes her an awesome character, yes, but it's also extremely interesting when seen from Envy's perspective. You have this doomed romance, where the mutual love is still there in some form yet it's been completely stiffled by the circumstances, both being trapped on an endless cycle of death, destruction and rebirth under a malicious, downright omnipotent entity from which there is (seemingly) no escape: N has no memories, only disdain and bellitlement from his only companions together with a strong liking for V that even he might not quite understand, while V is convinced that the only way to keep both of them safe is to play along, do her job, and play her part of a uncaring, sadistic psychopath, lest she loses what little of her beloved is left
They're both trapped in a purgatory that neither knows how or if it's even possible to escape... until Uzi Doorman comes along, causes The Plot™️to happen, and then suddenly the status quo collapses: Cyn gets eated, the cycle is broken, and N and V are for the first time in a lifetime free to actually live their lives without having to do genocide for a living. N has his memories back, V doesn't have to pretend anymore and even though she's terrified that Uzi will drag N down with her at the start, she eventually finds the courage to fight for their shared future, and it works. They all make it through alive to the other side, and despite how rough things got V and N can finally have a shot at a having a life together, be it platonically or as lovers once more, just with an extra angsty emo thrown into the mix
(I'm obviously biased towards the latter, but it's nonetheless a very fun dynamic: N bonds with Uzi almost instantly, but V gets won over with time both by seeing how much Uzi cares about N and also seeing firsthand how much of a badass she can be. I just find it such a fun dynamic, having a broken or otherwise stumped romantic relationship be mended by the actions of a third party, who becomes so important to both lovers that they not only insert themselves irreversibly into that relationship but also win both of them over. Truly the best way to incorporate and resolve a love triangle lol)
