He's Yellowfang's brother, and a complete nobody otherwise.

He showed up the most as a kitten, being daring and bold, calling Raggedkit a kittypet and getting into a fight with him that had to be broken up by Brightflower. He was also impulsive, eating a dead sparrow he found in the bushes and ending up with a bellyache because of it.

Later, he seems to just be a fairly generic warrior, fighting in battles, not liking kittypets, being against Red and Boulder joining the clan and all that. He's still close with his sisters, usually hanging out with Rowanberry and being supportive of and friendly with Yellowfang. He never gets a mate or has any kits, even though his mother apparently really wanted him to. She mentioned that he's been hanging around Fernpaw, and is super pleased at the idea of her son settling down and starting a family. He never does, though, and Fernshade later becomes mates with Wolfstep instead.

When Yellowfang was accused of murdering kittens and exiled, Nutwhisker and Rowanberry were ones of the very few cats to believe in her innocence and defend her. It was nice, especially when their mother believed in the accusation and turned against Yellowfang.
