Indulge in the classic Italian dessert with a healthier twist. This version of tiramisu uses low-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt for a creamy texture without the guilt. It's still full of rich coffee and chocolate flavors, making it the perfect treat for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 8 oz low-fat cream cheese. 1/2 cup Greek yogurt. 1/4 cup honey. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 12 ladyfinger cookies. 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips. 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts. Cocoa powder for dusting.
Instructions: Pour the brewed espresso and cocoa powder into a bowl. Blend until homogenous and reserve. Creamy low-fat cream cheese, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract should be combined in a separate bowl. Gently submerge each ladyfinger cookie in the espresso mixture for a brief moment, being careful not to let them soak through. Line a serving dish with a layer of the dipped ladyfingers. Over the ladyfingers, spread half of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat with remaining cream cheese mixture and another layer of dipped ladyfingers. The tiramisu should be covered and chilled for at least two hours or until set. Add chopped hazelnuts and dark chocolate chips to the top before serving. Add a dusting of cocoa powder for aesthetic and flavor enhancement. Enjoin your nutritious tiramisu cold!
