Real Heroes Wear Masks 😷🙌🏻 Today is National Nurse's Day 👩🏻‍⚕️ I have been a nurse since I was 20 years old. ❤️ I started as an LVN and continued my education to obtain my RN license & further training to become an RNFA. 😷 As an RNFA, I’m able to take the role of an "assisting surgeon", when surgeries require more than one surgeon. ❤️ I suture, make incisions and have many other surgical skills including Robotic Surgery. 🤖 😷 The video posted here shows me assisting in a Robotic Surgery. ✨ ❤️ I am passionate about helping people heal. I have saved many lives & held peoples hands as they pass from this life. 🙏 ❤️ I witness birth, death & everything in between. 🥀 I’ve also volunteered as a nurse worldwide. 🌏 In Haiti, I assisted with hernia repair surgeries. 🤍 In Vietnam, I went to the trauma hospital in Ho Chi Minh City & taught the anesthesiologist Advanced Cardiac Life Support. ❤️ ✨ The Chief Anesthesiologist gave me a Gold Medal he had dated 1985 to show his appreciation for my work there. It was all he had to give me & such a sweet gesture. 🙏🥰 👻 One year, I spent my Halloween Birthday in Oaxaca, Mexico assisting with cleft lip and palate surgeries.
