Sakari Nurmi & Sofia Karppi - Deadwind 01x03 "Maailmanparantaja"

Hey! You have paid great attention to Nurppi moments, so I wanted to know your thoughts on the kiss at the harbour. Why do you think Karppi pulled away? It couldn't be that she didn't feel the same way. So what was the problem? Was it the timing, Nurmi's unstable emotional state, the revelation about Henna?
Thanks for asking, I love talking about Nurppi. I’m not sure either of them really knows what they feel at this point, but I do have a view on why she rebuffed the kiss.
1. Emil is playing up
2. Routa injured her the night before
3. She and Nurmi have been up most of the night going through missing drug dealers
4. Henna’s now in hospital and she’s just realised Nurmi was right when they had the row in the scrap yard, which pisses her off
5. He’s just admitted he ignored Henna’s cry for help
6. To top it all, he’s just announced that he’s fathered a child by the ex-girlfriend whose existence he lied about
7. It’s the first real indication since ep 1-10 that he might actually be interested
I think those are all pretty good grounds for wondering why on earth this man wants to kiss her now, though we can surmise
1. He’s wanted to for a very long time
2. He’s upset - aahh - and needs more than a hug
3. He’s a bit of an ass when it comes to managing his feelings.
