not the DomiFlo post that I thought I’d be making, but whatever 🙄🙄

something that I’ve noticed is just how much more… impatient our fanbase has become. I was reading a thread on reddit (yes, I know 🙄🙄 reddit blah blah blah whatever) regarding Mo’s goal as well as Dominik and after reading the two comments that I’m about to post, it really just struck me how utterly impatient we’ve become as a fanbase.

The second picture was a response to the first comment. There were many comments akin to these all over the different threads, but these are just 2 examples.

It’s merely been a few weeks since Wirtz and Frimpong joined our club from the bundesliga. Szobo has been with us for quite a lot longer than that! I think people forget just how much Szobo has changed physically since coming here from Bundesliga, he used to be scrawnier and now he’s gained quite a bit of muscle.

Both him and Mac Allister would get BULLIED off the ball when they first came here, it took them quite a while for them to adjust to playing for us physically and put on some muscle.

And just in case people forgot, since people want to play pretend and act like Szobo has always been this beloved master of the pitch, let me remind people that fans used to think Szoboszlai was a complete waste of time and money for our team when he first started here, that he was absolutely useless and now he’s one of the best in the prem!

I understand that due to the price tag, people might be expecting Messi numbers from Wirtz, but it’s shocking how insanely low our fans keep going in terms of behaviour.

How did we go from having the utmost patience for Nunez and his once in a while, last minute goals for literally two years straight, to dragging Wirtz through the mud for adjusting to us over the course of a few WEEKS???

I’m actually so sad about this because as fans we’re supposed to be welcoming to these new players and kind to them, help them adjust and protect our team in the ways that we can and instead our own fans are the ones doing the harassing???? Like they probably thought we’d be nice to them or welcoming and now they don’t even post anything because they know that their own FANS will be lurking in the comments to kick them while they’re down.

Look, all I'm saying is... Players who are technically better have left us, and it didn't hurt as much as this.

I still think that all he needed was confidence and some luck on his side.

I'm bitter about this. It could've ended differently. But if it means that people will finally stop bullying the hell out of him, and he'll get to play in peace, then so be it.

He did once say he'd like some of that Saudi money... 😅 (this is me coping)
