Been a while since I last drew my fave earthbending himbo
It is 9:35 pm and I am sitting in my kitchen sobbing over a long dead fish.
I started a tradition with my fish to bury them in African violets when they pass. I have 3 plants so far, one for Nuktuk, one for Marvolo, and one for Linguini snd Alfredo
Nuktuk’s plant hasn’t been doing well for a while now which has been giving me a lot of anxiety since I have a lot of sentimentality attached to these plants and the fish I buried within them. But my mom suggested replanting the violet to see if that would help it pull through.
Tonight while repotting it and taking out the old dirt, I found what was left of Nuktuk’s little body. And I lost it.
I immediately started sobbing as I saw part of a fin, where his body was. And just. I miss him. I miss all of them.
I feel like such a loser crying over a betta that has been dead for years, but I just can’t stop sobbing.
I firmly believe that Nuktuk saved my life during some of its worst times, because I knew he wouldn’t have anyone to take care of him if I was gone. And just seeing him again, idk why it hit me as hard as it did.
At least I can know that he is still with me, and even if the plant dies he will still live on in the dirt to give life to a new one.
I’m just tired. Goodnight.
