unpopular opinion meme ⋙ accepting, against my better judgement!
I’ve come to the point where I kind of hate every interaction being a different verse! I know that sounds very counterintuitive and creativity-stifling–that’s what I thought at first, too, plus who doesn’t want to be able to ship with literally anyone?–but it’s less interactive, somehow. Like if each person is in one or more different verses, you don’t get to have third parties commenting on dramatic events, or characters taking out their rivalries on someone who’s friends with both people involved, or any of the conflict or joys or RPing in a larger group.
As indie RPers, espeecially, I think it’s more fun if everything is intended to be in one of a smaller number of verses, but I may disregard it from canon if it goes sideways. I’m never going to say other people should handle their verses the same way I do, but I will say that I think it’s more fun like this!
(at least, for those of us who don’t confuse IC with OOC, because in-character drama is AMAZING and out-of-character drama is BULLSHIT)
