EXHAUSTION RUNS DEEP, rivulets of magma under her skin, her veins, the ichor, the chaos turning heartbeat into a war drum. she feels it throbbing at the temple, the beginning of a headache bent on staying for a while. narrowly avoiding disaster seems to be the theme for their little group; strangling CATACLYSMIC EVENTS before they have the time to mature, bearing the brunt of an explosion always feeling like needles piercing skin, left to brace the aftermath with only half a breath. this time, the onslaught felt never ending ━━ she rubs at tired eyes until she sees stars prickling the back of her eyelids, a memento. as if her moon hadn’t been swallowed by too-big waves. as if he doesn’t lay in bed now, too pale, far too pale, another causality, another loss, another . . .
