My portrayal of how I write Shinju has changed a bit. She's a genius much like Itachi (nothing new). However, due to her isolation and unorthodox upbringing, she never fully learned the complexities of human emotions (this is new). All that mattered was for her to become the best medical specialist, be the strongest Hyuuga, be the pride of her household and clan (which failed after the war), she was moulded in being flawless in the areas that the clan expected of her. But no one is flawless and Shinju broke down after the war. She's searching for answers, to learn how to forge meaningful connections, to understand human emotions better, and above all; to forgive herself for not being able to live up to the expectations of the clan. Anyway, she's better for it, more human, steady fast in forcing her clan to change, she gotta make use of her smarts, right? Even so, she's learning after the war. Also, her speech is more formal, at least I try \o/

I wanted researcher beef and this DOES provide a glorious background where we definitely have fungi that aren't bioluminescent in the Reach, and we have the new strain that's been introduced from the Neath, and a whole bunch of researchers from the 1900s trying to figure out which came first and how they're related.
Absolutely there's a researcher who thinks [pink strain of non-luminescent Reach mushroom] is a descendant of [pink Neath strain of non-luminescent mushroom] even though [pink Reach mushroom] shows clear signs of divergence from [red Reach mushroom] on a separate island.
