          Strolling along through the words, Tatia had been enjoying the bright, warm day. She had spent hours admiring the deep blue sky, the sound of birds chirping, and the cool breath that appeared every few minutes. When hit the hour marker, she had reached a quarry and chose to sit down ; a moment to rest even those she truly didn’t need it. Slipping her shoes off, she dipped her feet only inches into the cool water. She scanned the scenery around her and spotted something odd purched against a large stone and hanging tree limb. It appeared to be a giant safe, but she ignored it — shaking her head and returning to play in the water.

                                       [ muffled screaming. ] 

          Her head shot up at the sound. She rose quickly to her feet, scanning the area again — she saw no one.

          There it was again. She began to move towards the direction of the sound. The closer she got, the louder the noise got. It was coming from the safe that she had so quickly brushed off. She knocked the freezing cold metal, “Hello?" The screams came again. She immediately began tugging on the safe, pulling it out of the water. It surprised her how easily she could pull the massive box out of the water ; being a vampire with inhuman strength was something she was still getting use too.

          “Hello? Do not worry. I am going to get you out of there.”

          She picked up a large stone that sat a few feet to her left. Grabbing it, she flung it at the lock and broke off the knob. The safe opened slowly, a man’s body falling forward. Instinctively, she moved quickly to catch him. He looked awful — and smelled worse. However, she still held onto him tightly before gently setting him on the warm, dry grass. He didn’t seem to be breathing, worried she leaned forward to listen or feel breathes — but she got nothing. She placed her hands onto his chest, pushed down with five hard lunges, and blew into his mouth. She repeated it until he began to cough up all the water that had filled his lungs. Patting his back, her voice was filled with concern,
