Small PSA, but... I'm Canadian lol.
Why am I saying this? Well, recently, I got the vibe that my spelling may have been called into question, and that irked me slightly. Certain words, I'll spell with a "u" such as favourite, savoury, or neighbour. These are CORRECT.
They may not be how Americans spell those words, but they're how Canadians and those in the UK spell them. Both are considered grammatically correct.

Im Spanish and I absolutely hate (hate is a strong word I dont actually hate it dont take this seriously its a pet peeve) when people pronounce Elnina and Lanino as "Elniña and Laniño"
Ñ and N are NOT the same letter, and even thought they were named named after both the words Niña/Niño and the el niño southern oscillation phenomenon, their names arent spelled with an Ñ.
In my opinion, with how much care Toby has put into this game I'm sure he and his team could've added Ñ as a letter if they wanted to. It's a custom font for a game in active development, not a quick text he's sent without having an Ñ key on the keyboard. ...Not even in concept art featuring HANDWRITTEN text has their name been written eith an Ñ.
This guy hasn't missed accent marks before; the Undertale track "Bergentrückung" is spelled correctly with a ü, and you don't even see the track's name in game! I don't see why he wouldn't spell his own character's name correctly, specially when its importanr characters for a chapter. The lack of Ñ looks like an stylistic choice, just like how their names being Elnina/Lanino instead of Elnino/Lanina is an stylistic choice
People CHOOSING to pronounce it with an Ñ feels... pedantic. I don't want to sound rude, not at all, but I never see you extend this "correct pronunciation" stuff to the names of actual hispanic people. Not to how we pronounce RRs and Rs, how we pronounce Gs and Js, how we pronounce vowels. It feels the exact same way as when someone assumes every R in Spanish is rolled.
