You know. The thing that ultimately gets me in the flash back episode where shiro first meets Keith in that when Keith is in the space sim and everyone is amazed and jealous over how good he is, and that teacher basically starts badmouthing him to the big garrison official, aka shiro, and steals his car. God listening to what was probably this small glimmer of hope for himself getting crushed by his teacher deliberately trying to sabotage him by talking about him like that to his one chance at a good future was heartbreaking. Like god damn it. If that’s how she treats him no wonder he acts out. But I’m getting off topic. No.
What amazes me about that scene is that he put the freaking space simulation on what was probably the safest rout to be in without having someone control it giving him enough time to not only break into shiros car and Hotwire it. But to cause a big enough distraction when it did ultimately crash so he could make his getaway.
And I have yet to see ANYONE TALK ABOUT THAT. Like that kind of skill is amazing! In seconds he found the safest rout for the aircraft to fly in on its own without crashing immediately!!! Which, if he were on an actual aircraft with a team it would have given anyone on the team time to jump in and take over or if alone and you know unconscious would have given him a small chance at surviving. But instead he chose the safest rout that would cause this aircraft to be safe without a pilot for the time he would need to STEAL A FREAKING CAR!! Like WHAT??? THE??? FUCK KEITH!!! That’s fucking Amazing!!! No wonder shiro gave him another chance and helped him out. Like how is that skill not fucking amazing and needed in the garrison! Shiro ain’t stupid. That level of skill is crazy! He would have to be a fool to let such talente and skill go to waste in jail.
