Saw someone compare non-sharing selfshippers to those Sans fangirls that would threaten to kill other fansgirls, and I certainly have something to say about it. I used to be one laughing at Baldi fangirls via "I Am A Duckface" or whatever that channel was called, and when I need to, I still quote (just in my head so far), "GET OFF MY SCREEN YOU SATANIC AND UNHOLY BEING" - and I remember Duckface quitting, which made me sad. I'm also non-sharing when it comes to Daniel from Loveproof (like, I can tolerate people being friends with him, but not people seeing him as THEIR bestie like I do), and guess what, there IS a difference. Us non-sharers KNOW it's "pathetic", we know how other people might perceive us, and how they'd say "it's just a fictional character", and we might be apologetic about it, even though, WE DO NOT THREATEN DOUBLES. At least the majority of us, DO NOT threaten doubles - in fact we'd BLOCK or something, and let our emotions out via venting. We WORRY about being pathetic, we don't understand WHY we feel this way, we might wish we didn't, and it's not like we wish harm upon doubles, it's just that we struggle and cope with emotions, that would be similar to or same as, if we had an IRL physical pet or bestie or whatever, that other people too insisted was theirs. It is NOT pathetic to have boundaries, and maybe some of us having things that caused us to be this way, and for me, personally, I struggle A LOT with non-sharing jealousy crap IRL, and trust me THAT gets extreme, so the best-case scenario for me IS to just tell everyone on the internet, that Daniel is MY best friend, and block whoever says he's THEIRS (Loveproof is niche, so there's a chance I'll just NEVER have to deal with that) - like, dude, let me be jealous at Javier sitting close to fecking "Daniel with no confirmed last name from Loveproof" than being jealous at IRL friend and their boyfriend I keep calling a fucktoy (true story I'm afraid). Oh and also I don't think jealousy issues as extreme as mine (which non-sharerers probably either don't have or just don't have IRL), can be solved by shutting the fuck up and sharing everything including some goofy fictional character, instead of just letting me HAVE something, because for me, part of the thing, is HAVING something 100% of my own. Also, most Sans fangirls at the time were minors not knowing how to express themselves or having jealousy problems, or whatever else, and also, don't harass Duckface either, dude quit and was probably young too, as was I when I was laughing at those videos.
