Iwaizumi Hajime 27, athletic trainer:

“If you’re not going to admit to needing help, could you maybe at least grunt at me so I know that you’re not going to hate me for helping anyway?” you ask, eyes trailing over his crossed arms.

“I can-”

“Yes, yes, you’re very capable Haji… but maybe, just this once, a more delicate touch would be the way to go, eh?” you ask, gently tugging on the arm closest to you so that he can relax his intimidating stance a bit.

There’s an audible grunt and you smile.

“You really are ridiculous,” you say, shaking your head.

After having watched the youtube video together you’re pretty sure you can figure it out so you rush to wash your hands and pull on an apron.

Then slowly, you pick up the piping bag that’s overstuffed with buttercream frosting. You make sure the end of the bag is fully closed and twisted so that it doesn’t leak, and then you hold the tip over the nearest cupcake and gently start to squeeze.

It doesn’t look amazing but the bag doesn’t pop with excessive force like it has with Iwaizumi’s touch the last three times consecutively...you were actually starting to worry there wouldn’t be enough bags left.

After the first few you really start to get the hang of it and by the time you’ve finished the second tray, you’re bordering on the smug side of satisfaction.

Iwaizumi kinda likes that look on you but he doesn’t say as much. Instead, he just wraps his arms around you from behind and does that thing with your ear that makes your heart jump and the next thing you know, the piping bag is nearly empty and you’ve squeezed a giant blob of frosting over the second tray.

“HAJI!” you gasp.

“Now that’s better,” he says, laughing against your ear.

“You’re such a sore loser,” you reply, shaking your head at him again.

“We can always just buy the cupcakes…”

“Fine, but you’re eating the ones with extra frosting as punishment.”

“Oh no...how terrible,” he says sarcastically, still chuckling.

“Andddd you’re on cleanup duty...I need a long bath.”

“Wait, wait ...we can talk about this,” he says, as you pull away.

“Nope, this is almost all your mess anyway,” you say, your tone serious until you reach the entryway of the bathroom when you call back to him. “If you hurry, maybe I’ll let you wash my back.”

You hear his foot make contact with the underside of the kitchen island that always seems to surprise him and he lets out a muffled curse.

i fully believe the reason i’m procrastinating so much and even began reading the One Piece manga is in part largely due to Mistborn: The Final Empire putting me in a major reading slump. 

I’m 400 pages in and I really don’t understand the hype. I want to put it down, I don’t relate with any of the characters, the writing is average - at best. Exposition also seems juvenile at times

Just got back from the movie and boy oh boy was it amazing!

I will say it was almost ruined because the stupid theater we were at had the screen set up wrong and the subtitles were cut off for the first scene (including the special message from some of the actors) so that PISSED ME OFF ROYALLY!

But my amazing husband went out and made them fix it and I love him even more now, he’s the hero of the night for all in the theater.

As always the art was just beautiful and the music spectacular. 

The story moves quick because they only have so much time to tell it but it’s super interesting.

I know it’s not Haikyuu / KNB related but it was just too good not to share here. 

If you’re a fan of the series and have an opportunity to, make sure you see it. It’s worth it.
