going to buy some new games on steam while a bunch of things on my wishlist are on sale and i'm so excited!! i've been wanting to expand beyond just stardew valley for agesssss now and this feels like the right time!!

(don't get me wrong i'm still probably going to spend most of my game time playing stardew but still, you get it)

right now i've got bloomtown, cult of the lamb, calico, and deck of haunts in my cart, and i'm feeling pretty good about it!! probably going to take the plunge after work today 🎮

thoughts on hippopotamuses

When I was a kid I went to the zoo once just in time to see the caretaker wash the hippo's teeth with a fuck ass huge toothbrush.

I remember being scared out of myself because (to me, at the time) it looked like the guy was standing on the animal's mouth and they could've been killed at any point if the hippo decided to close his mouth.

It wasn't like that, clearly, because their heads are not that big.

Later on I learnt that hippos are like the most violent and dangerous of the huge animals, and they can, in effect, kill you by snapping his mouth on you, and realized that my fears as a 6 y/u girl weren't that ill founded.

That's to say: I love hippos, I think they're some of the best animals in the world and everyone should be able to watch, at least once in their life, how someone cleans their teeth with a fuck ass gigant toothbrush.

what are yalls recommendations for studio ghibli films? for context, i havent really watched any anime or animated films since i was a teenager, so im a bit out of my depth here but they just seem so lovely and id like to give them a try!
