🌱 SEEDLING - what is their most vivid memory from childhood? {Hela}
Hela's most vivid memory is the first time she used her powers without her father knowing. She found a little bird that had fallen out of its nest, and had succumbed to the cold evening the night before. She remembers taking the bird in her tiny hands, holding it to her chest, and feeling something in it that she knows now was the weave still clinging to the corpse. She tugged only a little on that thread, and suddenly the bird stirred between her fingers, tired and cold but definitely alive.
She put it back in the nest, whispered a good luck to it and it's nestmates, and left quickly afterwards to bury her whole body in Fenrir's thick fur.
🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? {Bucky}
I started playing Bucky as a foil for @thegirlfallsfromthesky in verse: you're a native New Yorker/Times Square ballet, and @websandredheads in verse: life is more than a civics lesson as incidental to the main plotline.
He grew into place rather than dropped fully formed, but one of the early things I wanted to incorporate was the common HC that he's Jewish, at least by blood if not by practice. I haven't had much chance to fully explore that facet, especially as he hasn't had a lot of play. I'd love for a Jewish muse (and mun!) to invite James+ back to participation in Yom Kippur or Passover, as my (and his) research into traditions and responses to theological questions have not been particularly expansive.
Vivi groaned as she rested on the couch, pouting at the fact that she couldn’t see her toes. “Tim is that you? I am such a whale. I tried to start dinner and it was an utter disaster. Have you thought of any names yet?”
"Yeah, Viv, just me." Tim came up behind the couch, and leaned over into her field of view. "Hey, you ever seen whales on the Discovery channel? I think they're cute. And they make great moms."
He dropped a kiss on her forehead.
"Trouble is, we have such a big un-family that all the good names are taken, and I'm not about to call my son Timothy Park Junior, no matter what Tony says.
"William? Richard? And for my grandpa's sake, Min-jun as a middle name?"

It was raining again. It came down in sheets, buckets, streetlights reflecting off the puddles that were deepening by the minute. The thought had occurred to him, as the hours wore on, that the subway might flood. But they probably had a workaround for that; this was the future after all.
The Tower was pretty quiet, but that wasn't unusual. People had missions, or family, or other houses, or responsibilities that drew them away, kept them out of the common room. Even Loki had a visitor, despite that James was pretty sure he wasn't allowed outside without a chaperone.
"Hey," he knocked on their door as he passed. "Sorry to break up the party, but news is starting to make noises about closing the subway and the tunnels."

Motherhood, unlike pregnancy, suited Vivi rather well. Andrew, or Drew as he had been nicknamed was a rather well behaved infant, though his chubby cheeks and smiling eyes did a lot to sway anyone in her favor.
Today was actually his coming out party. A baby shower/ meeting for all of their friends and family. Hearing the door open Vivi smiled and lifted up Drew.
“Look Drew. It’s appa and uncle Sasha. Did you get everything you needed from the store boys?”
"Hey, we're back..." Both of them were weighed down with large backpacks, and reusable shopping bags in each hand. Neither of them were struggling, but the bags bulged and one looked on the edge of melty.
"Just about. Sash, the ice-cream..."
"On it." He took the melty bag, dashing for the big fridge-freezer in the kitchen.
"The only thing we missed was the yuzu, but we knew that was a long shot. Hey buddy... Have you been good for mommy while I was gone?" Tim dropped his bags on the counter and came over to the two of them, kissing Vivi briefly on the cheek.

James was getting used to the idea of being part of the world again. Much as he'd loved Wakanda, there was only so much company he get from his goats and after all, as he put it, someone had to keep Steve out of trouble. So he found himself the newest resident of the Tower, temporary headquarters and billet of the Avengers whilst they dug the old out of the ground upstate.
He was mid way through washing the dishes from breakfast, humming bars of some time he half-remembered but couldn't place (not the popular music that people kept adding to his 'to do' list at any rate) when he heard the door open. He paused, but kept on humming, an act of defiance against the urge to fall silent and listen.
