After much debating I decided to go with the fingering weight swatch. I’ve decided to sort-of-kinda-of work in 20 slipped-stitches-row increments, which is what the stitch markers are counting.
So far I’m not finding the rows of back and forth garter as soul crushingly boring as I expected, although I will admit that I’m a bit scared to pick up for the next chevron so I’m delaying it for as long as possible.
I must admit this isn’t really a “scrappy blanket” as much as a “pre-planned, help-i-can’t-stop-buying-neutral-hand-painted-tonal-skeins” project. (By which I mean I’ve ordered 3 more color ways to add to the blanket, someone please cut me off).
I think the project might be on hold until I get the last 3 color ways in the mail as I think one of them is what I want to come after the brown. However, we shall see if I can resist knitting on the project for a whole weekend.
