There comes a time in a fictional story when you need to decide for yourself from what perspective you will engage with the story — absolutely dismissing all queer experiences that people have had throughout history and just telling yourself, and bullying others into pretending to agree, that "they are just super straight cousin friends of a hetero brothers"

Or you just let something nonstraight exist.

Or you just let that sink in.

Or you just let this realization come.

Or you just ask yourself why your first thought is "straight people".

Ask yourself why a nonstraight situation happening to a character is not enough, why there needs to be a tweet, an image where they are holding a specific (!) pride flag, or they need to vocally disclose their exact label.
