Indulge in the savory and sweet flavors of Crockpot Chinese Pork with Noodles. Tender slices of pork are slow-cooked in a flavorful sauce, creating a delicious meal when served over rice noodles with blanched broccoli.
Ingredients: 2 lbs pork shoulder, thinly sliced. 1 cup soy sauce. 1/2 cup hoisin sauce. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 1/4 cup honey. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. 8 oz rice noodles, cooked according to package instructions. 2 cups broccoli florets, blanched. 2 green onions, sliced for garnish. Sesame seeds for garnish.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, Chinese five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes. Place sliced pork in the crockpot and pour the sauce over it. Toss to coat the pork evenly. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is tender and flavorful. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add blanched broccoli to the crockpot and stir to combine. Serve the Chinese pork over cooked rice noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
