Hey for those of you who are altscribal at all, how do you feel about discord servers that require text translations of (word)mojis without leaving a space for altscrib people?
Nonverbal sucks. Forcing scribal.
Nonverbal is like brain reset button though. Es bueno. Good. But hard to communicate in any way that means words used.
Work stressful. Eating clam chowder. I used ding bell 🛎️ to communicate at work n was bueno. Need communication cards or soundboard or somethin. Stress made me feel like I was gon puke. No bueno. Multiple times felt such. No no bueno.
Ugh. Working sucks. But need survive. No one else. Just me. No diagnosis, no medicine, no disability benefit. Need all.
Argh. Hell.
Brain tired/done. No more.

I’ve never seen servers that require an emoji translation, but if that is in a server, there should be a space for anyone that is nonscribal.
Emoji translations are difficult, both to create and understand, so it also depends on the people in the server.

Why do some people communicate through emojis and call it "nonscribal"? /genq /curi
Similar to nonverbal, which is speaking or talking, nonscribal is a description for not being able to write or type out what you want to say. That’s why emojis are used.
I am both semiverbal and semiscribal, so I have experience with it. Many times I try to use emojis to get other people to understand the basic ideas or emotions I am feeling/thinking of.
Hopefully this is an understandable explanation 😅
