I love it when characters are skilled in noncompliance. There's not nearly enough characters who are fucking masters of noncompliance.
This is also why I say that a lot of these people coming at anarchists saying, “why don’t you fight the government then, why don’t you do something?”, they don’t really mean it, they just want to see you die and then rhetorically justify it for head pats.
If they don’t like you, hell if they can make up a reason in their imagination not to like you (this is already being done online in regards to Renee Good, literal fanfic shit), they will use the smallest teeniest crumb of an excuse to justify some pig shooting you in the head.
So this is a perfect example of what I mean when I respond to this saying “because you’ll throw anybody who does under the bus, immediately”.
They will always do this, because it would make them look bad if that person didn’t immediately get murdered. It makes them feel better for materially resisting nothing.

The Illinois National Guard has REFUSED Tr*mp's illegal orders.

They reportedly state that Governor Pritzker does not agree that there is reason to federalize the Illinois National Guard.
This marks the first time that a major military force in the US has refused Tr*mp's illegal orders, and maintained their oath to uphold the Constitution.
Making a one-time exception to my Youtube boycott, because this might end up being the most important news story since Tr*mp regained power:
This also suggests that Governor Pritzker and Illinois can trust their state National Guard forces to stand with them rather than the Regime if the Regime's actions are illegal (as opposed to the California National Guard, which meekly followed orders to deploy them on the streets of LA despite their governor's opposition).
This is a BIG FUCKING DEAL. Because there are basically two ways that an authoritarian regime ultimately falls (though many possible paths to those endpoints).
They lose a major war (either with a foreign power or a civil war).
The people with guns stop following their orders.
Since the US has thousands of nuclear weapons, any war big enough to topple the government by force would likely be apocalyptic in nature.
That leaves this as the only real possible way forward. It also further establishes Governor Pritzker as the most effective Democratic leader in opposing the Tr*mp Regime.
The question now is: will it fizzle out and end here? Or will other forces follow this example, and uphold their oaths to the Constitution?
