one thing i HATE is when people include nonbinary people in the definition of lesbians but not the definition of gays. like i KNOW thats just you acting like nonbinary people are woman liteβ¦ i can tell. i say iβm a nonbinary lesbian and if i liked men i would identify as a nonbinary gay (note: this is not me saying you canβt identify as you want if youβre enby).
if you can accept nonbinary lesbians but not nonbinary gays then you ARE transphobic.
The way that genderfuckery is almost always associated with lesbianism and little to never with gaynes is so weird to me. It's just... makes me feel like people only see nonbinary, genderqueer and otherwise not cis and not binary people as women/women-lite.
I've talked to lots of genderqueer and nonbinary people who are gay (as in veldian/turian), myself included, and I've seen them talking about the way it brings them joy or hardships, the things they face while being themselves. But I've never seen other queer people talk about it. I've seen people mention the way nonbinary, genderqueer and specifically transmasculine expirience intervine with lesbian experience, but I've never seen the same energy for gayness.
I just know that people DO talk about it but don't get nearly as much recognition as the ones talking about it in context of lesbianism and we MUST, as a community, change it and uphold them, support them, give them space to talk.
So, while on this note, shoutout to all the gays in or community!
Shoutout to nonbinary gays
Shoutout to agender gays
Shoutout to xenogender gays
Shoutout to multigender gays
Shoutout to genderfluid gays that's also me yaay
Shoutout to genderqueer gays
And finally shoutout to gays that don't want to/can't describe their expirience and identity with any words above!
If you'd like to share some expirience or positivity in this - please, PLEASE feel free to comment and reblog

Technically relationships don't need explanations but idk here's the photos I was talking about in a earlier.

Kinda tickles me when people who are ignorant go "well, you dont do this with Sexualities that arent lesbian! Let women have something!" In response to Nonbinary or not cis lesbians existing and being vocal about existing, because bro it takes just as much effort (which is little) to learn that Nonbinary gay people exist, transfem gay people exist, genderqueer gay people exist, and so on.
Men arent having their "sexuality overtaken" by acknowledging these people and neither are women.
You can literally just download grindr and see that its not strictly cis dudes over there, for example. Queer spaces, whether lesbian or gay, arent gonna be just strictly cis people (or strictly super passing trans people too, but a lot of people that are ignorant about Nonbinary or genderqueer people already arent often thrilled about binary trans people). If you actually take time to recognize "complicated" queer identities instead of staying in a bubble on social media, you would realize that instead of claiming a sexuality is being taken over.
