Just a little sketch from one art challenge don't mind me ✨️
Always happy to draw Mono and Six together eheh ;з;✨️
reading NoME again and there's an interesting part relating arwen and aragorn's relative ages:
also I had a conversation with somebody about peredhel aging (might have been at the aderthad??)
some interesting things here:
the default peredhel settings is the pre-Darkness maturity rate (50:1) plus beleriand aging rate (100:1)
does this mean the pre-Earendil&Elwing peredhel got the 10:1 post-Darkness beleriand elf rate or the 1:1 human rate?
the luthien settings (marrying a human) involve automatically switching to human aging upon marriage, presumably related to the feä/osanwë marriage bond?
Vardamir got the Choice (!!)
did all of elros' kids get the Choice and choose to live as Men, or is Vardamir still somewhere as a gondorian loremaster (or hanging out in elrond's library)?
the long youth multiplier converts the post-Darkness 10:1 maturity rate to the peredhel default 50:1, but converts elros' overall 3:1 aging rate to 6:1?
WHAT OF DIOR
bonus:
kinslaying is a mildly effective anti ageing treatment. somehow
The is litterly the cutest thing I've ever seen from this franchise I swear to god-

Nonetheless, it was not until the disaster in Moria, when by means beyond the foresight of Galadriel Sauron’s power actually crossed the Anduin and Lórien was in great peril, its king lost, its people fleeing and likely to leave it deserted to be occupied by Orks, that Celeborn and Galadriel took up their permanent abode in Lórien, and its government. But they took no title of King or Queen, and were the guardians that in the event brought it unviolated through the War of the Ring.
There are two things I love about this passage. Firstly it implies that Galadriel's knowledge about Sauron's movements concerning the elves comes from foresight (not from her opening her mind to Sauron as I've seen certain people claim in recent years).
The other thing is that, Galadriel and Celeborn do not take the title of King or Queen (which we already know since they styled themselves as Lord and Lady instead, but the emphasis here is meaningful). They could have. For all intents and purposes they were rulers, but they seem to have known that absolute power corrupts absolutely and they were wise and careful enough to present themselves differently; in a way that was less tempting. By acting as "guardians" of a place rather than as sovereigns, they make a very purposeful choice regarding their approach to "power".
Woah, you know what? Two art posts in one day-
Here's a Nome from Little Nightmares! I sculpted this little guy about two months ago but only finished painting it recently, so it's finally time to post it.
I gave it a cup to hold just because it looked kinda weird standing there with its arms by its sides, and the candle is there just because I needed to have some sort of support for the body while I was sculpting the legs. Still not sure just what this Nome is doing, but you know, the Nowhere is full of mysteries.
