It's midnight. On a school night. I have to be up in a couple hours, but instead I have my headphones in listening to music i listened to as a child from the early 2000's. And I'm looking at all the pictures of everyone I've met throughout my years and childhood, and high school. Scattered around my room. Memories. My god memories hurt. Something a picture does that makes the memories so clear, so vivid, so full of emotion. They capture a moment of bliss that was just a fraction of your life, yet somehow they can mean so much and they can last so long... Looking at these pictures it's crazy and bittersweet to see how things have changed. How people, including yourself have changed. How growing up changes everything. From those pictures of you when you were 4 outside running around naked in the sprinkler in your childhood home. To the pictures of your "best friends" who you aren't friends with anymore. When you look back on it now, it's either there, or it's gone. Home feels like home, or it doesn't. Pictures capture relationships, and passion, and memory. So if there's one thing of advice I could give anyone, it's to take pictures, as many as you can. Because thing's may change and you may change, and people all around you will change. But for that flash of a second caught on a picture, It will be the only thing that stays the same.

No matter how many years it has been, I still miss living in NJ and having the privilege to visit family in NYC. Although CA has grown on me, It's just not the same.
