With seven no-hitters—three more than anyone else—and 12 one-hitters tied with Bob Feller, Ryan’s arm was a damn force of nature. He holds the MLB record for 5,714 career strikeouts, played across four decades, and earned a first-ballot Baseball Hall of Fame induction in 1999. After hanging up his cleats in 1993, he bossed it as CEO of the Texas Rangers and advised the Houston Astros, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest pitchers to ever live.
