Another day, another event at Antoine’s. Today was our Nola Gold Ladies Luncheon. We raised tons of money for our professional rugby NOLA Gold Foundation and to help educate and spread the game of rugby to local children. A great lunch, a great auction, even a bead throw party from the balcony. To raise extra money one of the Rugby players took his shirt off. Lol. It worked lol. I managed to win several golf excursions for Ken & a Pelicans package including tickets and swag. I also won a Nola gold scarf or blanket and an Antoine’s hat and manage to leave them there. 🤦🏼‍♀️ What a great organization NOLA Gold Rugby Foundation is! Today’s @neworleansgold match was a tough loss and I think the officiating was poor. So poor that we rushed down to catch the refs when they came off the pitch. I was there to yell at their lack of offsides calls and pathetic judgement of the linesman in marking where the ball went out to touch. A little while later, I see a Welsh Rugby Union jersey go by and didn’t realize it at first, it was the ref, but I had to go see if he was actually Welsh. I think he was initially scared wondering if this crazy American woman was gonna hurt him, but after I asked if he was Welsh and then I asked for a cwtch, which he gave me, all was better.
