In any fight, we must stand for the fallen as well as for our future. Not all battles are violent, and sometimes we let them think they’re winning while we silently plan our moves for advancement. Often times, the best words are the ones not even spoken.

The @noh8campaign has taught me to stand up for those who have no voices, to be respectful of those who came before us, and to reach out to bring along those who are new to the cause.

It’s always a privilege & pleasure to join them in any city I can!

There will always be people who want you to feel insignificant, powerless, less than. The great thing about @noh8campaign is the reminder that YOU matter, YOUR voice counts, & you are needed to create change simply by adding yourself to something.

Finding your tribe is important, it’s empowering.

This was the last of the #nycpride events & then we marched!

Whenever I get to do a #NOH8 event, I am reminded of the strength it has taken for people to just be able to be who they are & love who they love. Sadly, this is a recurring thing. But, as long as we have a voice & a chance to use it, we can make a difference. I’m always #grateful to @noh8campaign @adambouska & @jeffparshley for the family they created & continue to grow.

It’s unfortunate that most people in power do not get there by the right means, or for the right reasons. That fact holds true not only for government, but even in our everyday lives and our places of work many times. I know it gets exhausting to keep fighting even for the very basic right to be respected, to exist, to be happy. Especially when it’s daily. #iykyk‼️

If you look for others who think like you, you will feel less alone AND find they can be a source of strength, comfort, & hope.
